Caribbean & African American Art Lessons
Every quarter, I will include an easy to follow along art lesson plan that you can do at home! While inspired by my studio practice - these lesson plans are meant as an entryway into mediums (Paper maiche, textiles, painting, etc.) Lesson plans are trauma-informed and offer alternative options based on your capacity.

Multidisciplinary Artist + Trauma-Informed Teaching Artist
Sage(they/them) is a queer and disabled artist with roots both in the US South, UK, and the Caribbean. As they continue with their MFA program, they slowly share their findings and curiosities here. Syncretic Studio gives them the chance to respond to our times while building a sustainable practice.
Current research themes: Caribbean motherhood and motherlands, softness outside of utility, truth as salve/poison, play and installation.
